tony robbins seminar in london in june?
i’m thinking of going to the anthony robbins seminar in june at the excel centre. has anyone had any first hand experience of the event. is it worth going to and is there anywhere you can suggest i can stay at that isn’t
a) booked up
b) extortionately priced!
I won a ticket to his event years back when he was doing the fire walk. I thought I’d go just to see what it was all about – some amazing things happened. The guy’s a real honest-to-goodness magician (NLP techniques) Got the audience thinking they would do this then we went out to the parking lot where they had built this huge fire out of oak logs. Very hot! I thought “No way am I going to walk on fire.” Back inside more magic and he has us feeling strong and gets this guy who is scared of women to ask the best looking woman there on a date and her secret task is to turn him down no matter what. Then he bring the guy out, talks to him, gets some NLP going, and turns him loose on this woman and he’s stuttering and turning beet red, but the more she turns him down the more he persists til he’s no longer red or stuttering. He’s not a romeo, but he’s doing what he never dared do before and the woman is running out of excuses not to go out with him. Fake? Maybe, but it sure felt real. Then we go out and the fire is knocked into a bed of coals so hot you couldn’t get within15 feet without singing your eyebrows. “Absolutely, NO way I’m gonna walk on that!” We go back inside. More magic and more magic. He’s got us focusing on our personal power and feeling very capable, stronger than ever. He has us moving, he’s walking through the crowd, looks everybody right in the eye and speaks directly to you and knocks the fear right out of me cuz he addresses exactly what I need to hear and I’m ready to go. And we go out and there are the coals, not as hot as before but you can feel real heat and he lines us up and if we don’t want to do it, fine stand over there and no shame. I get in line and when it’s my turn he looks me right in the eyes and says, “Give me more.” By now I know what he’s tallking so I turn on the juice and he says “Go.” and I walk barefoot right over those coals. Maybe it’s a trick. Maybe there’s a way anybody can do it. But at the end of that walk I was one empowered man and I still can call on that experience and a few of the techniques he gave us to get strong whenever I need to.
I don’t know if he’s still doing the firewalk, (If not, ask him) but if he hasn’t gone commercial, then I say: if you can use the techniques he will show you to bring out your own personal power, then by all means do it. At the least you’ll have a lot of fun and an experience you won’t soon forget.
