How do you change your life?
How can you overcome all of the obstacles–both internal and external to yourself–that prevent you from making good changes in your life TODAY? And why does it seem so hard to get from Point A to Point B even when you can see Point B clearly and you know what to do to get to it?

Great question. Life can be rough and getting lost is easy. There are a couple of pointers, but the answer below may be difficult to hear…
One of the first steps is to understand that most people have a “victim” mindset. Although many would “like” to take charge of their lives, they quickly fall into allowing things to happen, which they feel they cannot influence or change. These influences can take the form of either internal or external forces–but neither really “prevent” you from making choices.
The greatest challenge is being able to live with good choices: many “want” their lives to be better, but are not willing to live with the responsibility of taking action (see victim mindset above) Want a better boyfriend, dump the one you currently have and find a better one; don’t like you current job, quit and get a better one; can’t find a job because you didn’t finish high school, get your GED; and the list continues…
One of the easiest (but most challenging) changes is to surround yourself with people of similar interests or goals. If you are interested in becoming a medical doctor, you would meet and hangout with people who wish to be doctors. I know this sounds like an obvious truth, but those who do not share your goals or dream won’t understand the choices you must make and certainly won’t understand the sacrifices required to reach those goals…
There are some constants in life which many will try to persuade you away from: education, financial stability, stable home life: with in turn opens up opportunites for better education, better job, etc. and the cycle continues upwards…
