Hypnosis: Does the individual’s intelligence determine the time it takes to put that individual under hypnosis?
For example, one individual falls into a state of hypnosis much faster than another. Does this give an indication of the individual’s intelect? Are more intelligent individuals able to relax and be hypnotised than the average individual?
According to Wikipedia, the individual must be able to focus their concentration, but it is also said that we make use of suggestion… Is it then persons of high intelligence that have the ability to focus into a state of mind where the subconcious can speak freely and ‘hide’ it from the concious?
No, intelligence is not an indicator of how quickly someone can fall into a hypnotic trance. I think one of the most important factors is whether the subject wants to be hypnotised and how much they are prepared to ‘let go’ and trust the hypnotist to put them into the trance state.
Some people proudly tell me that they cannot be hypnotised, and I always ask why they want to deny themselves the wonderful experience. People have misconceptions about what the hypnotic state is believing that they will somehow lose control. That is not the case. Hypnosis is a powerful tool for achieving real change in your life, and is also a very relaxing, empowering experience

Covert Hypnosis $78.07 Covert Hypnosis is the ability to subtly communicate with another persons subconscious mind without them noticing. As it often takes place in the course of a seemingly regular conversation, it is also known as Conversational Hypnosis. The objective is to change the intended behaviour a sales person, for example, telling the client how good she will feel buying the new product.
