Gate House Nelson

Who loves Nelson DeMille’s novels?
I just finished The Gate House and was blown away..what prose..what character development
Oscar..if you enjoyed The Gold Coast then you will love The Gate House…i think The Charm School was a brilliant, dark, story
I do. I have not read the “The Gate House” but I am sure it would be good. For me, the best DeMille novel that I have read is the “The Gold Coast,” next is “Plum Island”, then “The Lion’s Game” and then “By The Rivers of Babylon” which is difficult reading at first and then it would blow your mind later on. DeMille is one of the best authors that I have read. Much better than the others.

David Malcolm (Dodo Press) by Lloyd, Nelson [Paperback] $26.83 Nelson (Mcallister) Lloyd (18731933) was the author of The Chronic Loafer (1900), The Soldier of the Valley (1904) and David Malcolm (1913). Take care not to tumble into the water, David, said my mother. She was standing by the gate, and from my perch on the back of the offwheeler, I smiled down on her with boyish selfassurance. The idea of my tumbling into the water The idea of my drowning even did I meet with so ludicrous a mishap But I was accustomed to my mothers anxious care, for as an only child there had fallen to me a double portion of maternal solicitude. In moments of stress and pain it came as a grateful balm; yet more often, as now, it was irritating to my growing sense of selfreliance. Author: Lloyd, Nelson Binding Type: Paperback Number of Pages: 248 Publication Date: 2008/04/01 Language: English Dimensions: 9.00 x 6.00 x 0.56 inches |
