What can you tell me about John Grisham’s books?
I’ve seen that The Associate is supposed to come out and it got me curious about Grisham’s books. I know they are thrillers, but are they mysteries, have a lot of killing, easy to read? Just tell me what you think about any or all of them!
Any suggestions welcome.
They are very legalistic. Most of the action is psychological.
The literary style is very very very slow, although the plots move fairly quickly. His books read more like a summary of events than a telling of events unfolding (if that makes any sense).
Most of his boks take place in the courtroom. John is a former lawyer, you see, so most of his works are about lawyers and legal battles.
An easy read?
Kind of. They’re not usually difficult, but they can get tedious. It’s something that I would read on the train moreso than at home. It’s better than staring off into space, but not by much. =)
