Perfect Business Dvd
How do we get this combination to work properly..TV/freeview/dvd player.?
In our kids bedrooms they each have a single scart 14″ colour tv with a dvd player,and we just bought them a twin scart freeview each.so,this is what i know(i am so rubbish at technical stuff),the dvd and freeview scarts both plug into a double scart box which plugs into the tv.the pictures on freeview and dvd are perfect.however,if they want to watch freeview we have to remove the dvd scart to hear it,and vice versa.turning volume up doesn’t help,and as kids are 4 and 6 i can’t trust them to do the lead business themselves.PLEASE somebody help cos i just want a bit of peace to watch MY tv!
Dump the double scart box, it’s like the switch is faulty and you don’t need it’
Take a scart lead from the DVD player and plug it into the VCR Scart on the Freeview.
Take a scart lead from the other Freeview Scart and plug it into the TV.
Turn on Freeview with the DVD player at stand-by ( OFF ).
Switch on TV and verify Freeview picture is OK
Keep Freeview on and switch on DVD player.
The DVD will automatically be routed through the Freeview box.
To watch Freeview again switch off DVD player.
This is called an AV Loop-through.
