Quartet Orson Scott

In the movie “Avatar”, since the Na’vi’s religion turns out to be real, does that mean they are atheists?
I mean, since all the stuff they “worshiped” was actually really there and true (and prove-able), does that mean that they didn’t really have a religion at all? That they’re natural atheists who never developed a religion?
And to those of you who’ve read Orson Scott Card’s “Ender” quartet, in the second book, “Speaker for the Dead”, the religion of the Piggie aliens also turned out to be true. Are they also natural atheists?
I’m confused here. Because it seems to me like neither group had a religion at all to start with. What do you think?
It depends on your definition of “religion”… I mean it sounds like you’re saying that if some scientist proved that God really and truly existed in a measurable way than Christianity and the like would automatically be rendered non-religions; I don’t think that works, It would still be religion. In my opinion the na’vi are very religious they just don’t happen to need “faith” as part of their religion. I’ve read different places that James Cameron has struggled with religion from an early age and was agnostic for a long time. It’s not surprising that he would come up with a story like this.
